Deep Tissue Massage
in Stratford-upon-Avon
A relaxing massage feels lovely, then the knot is back by the weekend. Ours works deeper: we release the stubborn, held tension at its source, so the tightness actually shifts and stays shifted.

THE BIT NO ONE TELLS YOU
Had a massage that felt great,
but the knot was back by the weekend?
It's not that you're "just a tense person."
A light, relaxing massage soothes the surface and leaves the deep tension exactly where it
was, so it tightens straight back up. The knot between your shoulder blades, the band across
your lower back that never quite lets go: that tension is being held for a reason. We work
deep enough to release it properly, and find why it keeps building in the first place.
"Excellent massage, finding all the knots and 'snarly' places causing the pain."

SOUND FAMILIAR?
Deep tissue massage is for the tightness that's become part of your everyday.
If any of these are you, this is the treatment you've been needing.
/ The tension you've stopped noticing
The tight neck, hard shoulders and stiff upper back that a working week quietly builds up.
💻 Desk & screen tension
You get them worked out, they feel great, and within days the same spot has locked up again.
🔁 Knots that keep coming back
Tightness you've had so long you've stopped noticing it, until you try to turn or reach.
🧍 Long-standing stiffness
The clenched shoulders and tight jaw that a busy, stressful life leaves sitting in your muscles.
😮💨 Stress-held tension
MORE THAN A SPA MASSAGE
Relaxing is nice. Releasing is what lasts.
A gentle massage feels good for an evening. Deep tissue done properly changes something: we work into the deep, held tissue, release the tension at its source, and show you why it keeps building so it doesn't all pile straight back. That's the difference between a treat and a fix.
Releasing deep, held tension at its source, not just soothing the surface, is the key to finally shifting the knots that keep coming back. That's a TAP deep tissue massage.
WHAT A TAP DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE DOES
Deep tissue massage is for the tightness that's become part of your everyday.
If any of these are you, this is the treatment you've been needing.
/ Four things you'll actually feel
Deep, targeted pressure that reaches the tight bands a lighter, relaxing massage skims straight over.
01 Release stubborn knots
Ease the long-held tightness in your back, neck and shoulders that had started to feel normal.
02 Relieve chronic tension
Loosen stiff areas so you can turn, reach and sit without that constant pull and ache.
03 Get your movement back
We treat why the tension builds, so it doesn't all come flooding back within a week.
04 Relief that actually lasts
/ The TAP Method, for deep tension
Why our deep tissue work holds when a one-off relaxing massage just buys you an evening.
OUR 3-STEP METHOD
01
Assess
A quick look at where you're holding tension and why, so we work the cause, not just the sorest spot on the day.
02
Treat
Deep, firm, hands-on work: deep tissue, trigger point, dry needling and cupping, always to your comfort, on the tension that's actually driving it.
03
Rebuild
Simple stretches and self-care to take away, so the release holds and the knots stop rebuilding between visits.

Tension you ignore doesn't stay still. Held long enough, tight muscles start to change how you move, sit and sleep, and the longer it's left the more there is to undo. Same-week appointments mean you don't have to wait.
GOOD TO KNOW
/ Deep tissue massage in Stratford, FAQs
Does deep tissue massage hurt?
It's firmer than a relaxing massage and you'll feel the work on tight spots, but it should never be unbearable.
We work to your comfort and check in the whole way through, firm enough to release the tension, never so hard it does harm.
Will I be sore afterwards?
Some people feel a little tender for a day or so, like after a good workout. Drink plenty of water and it
settles quickly, leaving the area looser than before.
How is it different from a regular or sports massage?
Deep tissue focuses on releasing stubborn, long-held tension deeper in the muscle. Sports massage is tailored
to training and recovery. In your session we use whatever your body actually needs, it's all one team.
How often should I have one?
For long-held tension, a few sessions closer together often helps most, then a top-up every 4 to 6 weeks.
We'll suggest a rhythm that suits you in your first visit.
Is it normal for the same knots to keep coming back?
Very common, and it usually means the cause hasn't been addressed, only the symptom.
That's exactly what our assess-treat-rebuild approach is built to fix.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. Book directly online as a private client and you can usually be seen the same week,
across our Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon clinics.
