SOUND FAMILIAR?

/ The shoulder that
won't let you move

✓Can't reach behind your back or do up your bra

✓A deep ache that wakes you when you roll onto it

✓Reaching for a seatbelt or a high shelf makes you wince

✓Movement has gone, not just strength

✓Came on gradually, with no obvious injury

✓You've been told to wait it out. You're still waiting

Waiting isn't a treatment plan.

It's a long pause button.

Frozen shoulder happens when the capsule around the joint becomes inflamed, then tightens. It moves through stages: painful, stiff, then thawing. Doing nothing can leave you stuck longer than you need to be. The right treatment at each stage eases pain and protects your movement, which is why we start by working out exactly where you are.

WHAT'S ACTUALLY GOING ON

/ Shoulder problems we treat every week

Different problems need different plans. Naming yours precisely is step one of fixing it.

A shoulder that becomes painful then steadily stiffer, often with no injury. Treatment changes with each stage.

Frozen shoulder

Pain lifting the arm out to the side or overhead, often worse at night. Usually a load problem we can retrain.

Rotator cuff pain

A pinching pain at the top of the shoulder when you reach up. Strength and control usually fix more than rest.

Shoulder impingement

Stiffness and weakness after surgery, a fracture or a sling. Structured rehab gets range and strength back.

Post-op and post-injury stiffness

Pain on the front of the shoulder with lifting and pressing. Often linked to training load and posture at the desk.

Biceps tendon pain

Shoulder and neck pain that feed into each other. We treat the whole chain, not just the sore spot.

Neck-related shoulder pain

Stiff shoulders rarely fix themselves quickly.

The longer you protect it, the more the rest of your body works around it. Hitched shoulders, sore necks and lost strength all add up. Every week you wait is a week of compensation we'll have to undo. Same-week appointments mean you don't have to wait.

The reason our results last when quick fixes don't. One plan, one team, three steps.

OUR 3 STEP SYSTEM. WHAT HAPPENS IN YOUR FIRST SESSION

01

Assess

A proper conversation, then a full assessment: shoulder, neck, upper back, strength and range. We work out what stage you are in and what is driving your pain. Most people tell us nobody has ever looked this closely before.

02

Treat

Hands-on treatment from minute one: mobilisation, soft tissue work, dry needling and cupping, tailored to what your shoulder actually needs at its current stage. You'll feel a difference before you leave the room.

03

Rebuild

A clear plan with range and strength exercises matched to your stage, so your shoulder moves and works better over time. This is the step every quick fix skips and the reason ours doesn't come back.

No GP referral, no scan required, no fixed packages, no pressure. In your first session we'll find what's actually driving your shoulder pain and tell you honestly how we can help, or point you to who can if we're not the right fit.

/ How long does frozen shoulder take?

Anyone promising to fix it in one session is guessing. Here's what we actually see in clinic when people follow their plan.

Luigi P · Fresha review · Shoulder injury

Bethan has a lovely personality and is a top professional. I came to see her with a serious shoulder injury. With her expert guidance and physiotherapy I am now almost back to normal. I am really impressed and thankful

TAP client · 5-star review · Shoulder

5 starts isn't enough. Meg managed to give me pain free and complete movement in my shoulder within the hour when I couldn't lift my arm above my head before hand. At my next appointment she really helped my lower back and sciatic pain and has given me some great exercises to complete also which are helping lots. Cannot recommend highly enough

GOOD TO KNOW

/ Frozen shoulder questions, answered

Do I need a GP referral or a scan first?

No. You can book directly with us as a private patient. A thorough physical assessment diagnoses most shoulder problems accurately without a scan. If we think imaging would genuinely change your treatment, we'll tell you and point you the right way.

Should I keep moving it?

Yes, within comfort. Gentle movement helps protect your range and calm pain. Forcing it through sharp pain usually backfires. Your plan will tell you exactly what to do at your stage.

How long will it take?

Frozen shoulder is one of the slower ones. It can take many months to fully resolve. Treatment makes it more comfortable and helps you keep more movement along the way. We'll be honest with you about your timeline.

Is it linked to other health conditions?

It is more common in people with diabetes or thyroid problems and in people in their 40s to 60s. If you have not been checked, we may suggest a chat with your GP alongside treatment.

Can I be seen this week?

Almost always. We hold same-week appointments at Warwick (4 The Holloway), Stratford-upon-Avon (Unit 3, Avon House, 4 Mulberry Street) and Leamington Spa (REGEN Rooms, Augusta Place). Our Warwick clinic is open 7 days.

We also treat back pain, hip pain, sciatica, neck pain, shoulder pain and plantar fasciitis.

Ready to get your shoulder moving again?

You've got three options: keep hoping it settles on its own, keep paying for quick fixes that last a few days, or let us find the real cause and fix it properly. Book your shoulder assessment at Warwick or Stratford and take the first step towards a shoulder that moves today.

Your first session includes a full assessment. We'll find what's driving your shoulder pain, or tell you honestly if we're not the right fit.

No fixed packages, no pressure.
