Neck pain,
fixed properly
It's there when you check your blind spot, when you look down at your phone, when you wake up and can't turn your head. It doesn't just wear off. Most treatment rubs the sore bit; ours finds what's actually driving it, then fixes it hands-on. Get better and stay better.

SOUND FAMILIAR?
/ The neck that keeps
interrupting your life
✓You woke up with it and now you can't turn your head to reverse the car
✓Stiff and achy by mid afternoon at your desk, every single day
✓Headaches that start at the base of your skull and creep over the top
✓Pain, tingling or a heavy feeling spreading into your shoulder blade or down your arm
✓You've tried a new pillow, a heat pack and a massage. It keeps coming back
✓Clicking, grinding or a neck that feels like it needs cracking all the time
Your neck isn't fragile.
It's overworked.
A neck that hurts is rarely a neck that's damaged. It's usually a neck that's been held in one position for hours, is stiff in the joints that should turn your head and is being propped up by muscles that were never designed for the job. A massage feels lovely and gives a few days' relief. It doesn't change how your neck moves or how strong it is. Which is why it comes back and why we start by finding the actual cause.
WHAT'S ACTUALLY GOING ON
/ Neck problems we treat every week
Different problems need different plans. Naming yours precisely is step one of fixing it.
Woke up and can't turn your head. Frightening, but usually a joint that's locked up rather than anything sinister. Hands-on treatment and early movement get it turning again fast.
Wry neck (acute locked neck)
The afternoon ache and stiffness from long hours at a screen. Not "bad posture" so much as too much of one posture. We fix the stiffness and build a neck that copes with your working day.
Desk & posture-related neck pain
Headaches that start at the base of the skull and come with a stiff neck. Often mistaken for migraine or tension headache. Treating the upper neck joints usually clears them.
Cervicogenic headaches
Pain, tingling or numbness spreading down the arm from an irritated nerve in the neck. Alarming, but it usually settles well with the right treatment and positions.
Trapped nerve (nerve root irritation)
Neck pain, stiffness and headaches after a car bump or a fall. Early, gentle movement and reassurance are what the evidence backs. We'll get you moving with confidence.
Whiplash
Some shoulder and arm pain isn't from the shoulder at all. Our assessment works out where it's actually coming from, so you treat the right thing.
Neck-referred shoulder & arm pain
Necks that stay stiff start stealing more than movement.
First it's the blind spot, then sleep, then the headaches and the tight shoulders. The stiffer it gets, the longer it takes to win that movement back. Every week you wait is a week of compensation we'll have to undo. Same-week appointments mean you don't have to wait.
/ The TAP Method, applied to your neck
The reason our results last when quick fixes don't. One plan, one team, three steps.
OUR 3 STEP SYSTEM. WHAT HAPPENS IN YOUR FIRST SESSION
01
Assess
A proper conversation, then a full assessment: neck, upper back, shoulder blades, posture, sleep position, screen and training habits. We find the true cause of your neck pain, not just where it hurts. Most people tell us nobody has ever looked this closely before.
02
Treat
Hands-on treatment from minute one: massage, mobilisation, dry needling, cupping and more, tailored to what your neck actually needs. You'll feel a difference before you leave the room.
03
Rebuild
A clear plan and simple, progressive exercises so your neck gets stronger than it was before the pain started. This is the step every quick fix skips, and the reason ours doesn't come back.
No GP referral, no scan required, no fixed packages, no pressure. In your first session we'll find what's actually driving your neck pain and tell you honestly how we can help, or point you to who can if we're not the right fit.
/ How long does neck recovery take?
Anyone promising to fix your neck in one session is guessing. Here's what we actually see in clinic when people follow their plan.

Was really struggling with my neck and back, had an hour massage with Therapy and Performance Clinic, and 3 weeks on I still feel 100%.

Louise W · Fresha review · Neck
Amazing!! After struggling with neck pain for over 18 months and trying several treatments, I finally feel like I've found someone who truly understands the problem. Ema really listened, took the time to assess everything properly, and made a noticeable difference in just one session. Today I feel better than I have in a very long time. I'm so grateful and would highly recommend.

Tension in neck and shoulders eased. Mobility in my neck increased. Great!

GOOD TO KNOW
/ Neck questions, answered
Do I need a GP referral or a scan first?
No. You can book directly with us as a private patient: no GP referral, no scan needed.
A thorough physical assessment diagnoses most neck problems accurately, and if we think
imaging would genuinely change your treatment, we'll tell you and point you the right way.
Is my pillow the problem?
Occasionally, but it's rarely the whole story. A pillow that keeps your neck roughly
in line with your spine is all you need; the expensive ones don't fix a neck that's stiff
and weak by day. We'll check yours, then spend more time on the neck itself.
Should I crack my own neck?
It feels good because it releases a little gas from the joint and calms the nerves
around it for an hour or so. It doesn't fix the stiffness and doing it constantly can
leave the neck feeling less stable. We'll mobilise the joints that are actually stiff,
then give you exercises so you don't need to.
Can neck pain cause headaches?
Yes, very commonly. The top three joints of the neck share nerves with the head,
so a stiff upper neck often produces a headache at the base of the skull that spreads
over one side. If yours comes with a stiff neck and eases when the neck is treated, that's your answer.
Can I be seen this week?
Almost always. We hold same-week appointments across both clinics and
we're open 7 days. Warwick (4 The Holloway) and Stratford-upon-Avon
(Unit 3, Avon House, 4 Mulberry Street) both treat necks daily.
How many sessions will I need?
Most neck problems need somewhere between 2 and 5 sessions alongside your
home plan. A trapped nerve can need longer, spaced-out support. We'll give you an
honest estimate at your first assessment. There are no fixed packages; you'll never be booked in for the sake of it.
Ready to check your blind spot without wincing?
You've got three options: keep hoping it settles on its own, keep paying for quick fixes that last a few days, or let us find the real cause and fix it properly. Book your neck assessment at Warwick or Stratford and take the first step out of pain today.
Your first session includes a full assessment. We'll find what's
driving your neck pain, or tell you honestly if we're not the right fit.
No fixed packages, no pressure.
