Looking after the people who look after us

Yesterday we did something a little different. Instead of our usual day in clinic, we took some of our most loyal TAP Clinic clients out for an afternoon of reformer Pilates at Sculpt, the social wellness club in the heart of Leamington Spa, followed by a coffee in their beautiful Lounge.

It was a simple thank you. These are the people who have trusted us, chosen us and stuck with us, in some cases for years, and we genuinely would not be where we are without them. Treating them to a fun class together, with no treatment couch in sight, felt like exactly the right way to say it.

Why Pilates sits so well alongside what we do

If you have ever been through a rehab plan with us, you will have heard us say it: the hands-on treatment settles things down, but strength and good movement are what keep the problem away. That is the whole idea behind how we work. We find the real cause, calm it with physiotherapy and sports massage, then build you back stronger so the pain has no reason to return.

Reformer Pilates is one of the best ways to build that kind of controlled, full-body strength. It works the deep muscles that support your spine, hips and knees, it teaches your body to move well under load, and it is kind on joints that are still settling down. For a lot of our clients it is the perfect next step once the acute pain has gone and they want to stay out of trouble for good.

That is exactly why we loved spending the afternoon at Sculpt. It is a calm, beautifully designed space with expert instructors, and the classes range from gentle, flowing sessions to higher-intensity ones, so it works whatever your starting point or however your body is feeling that day.

A big thank you to Sculpt

Huge thanks to Emily and the team at Sculpt for looking after our group so well, and for keeping an eye on Ted while we were at it.

If you have not been to Sculpt yet, you really should. It is a social wellness club in the heart of Leamington Spa, with a beautiful studio, expert instructors and a lovely Lounge for a coffee or a matcha afterwards. They offer a £20 trial class that is 50 minutes long and completely beginner friendly, so you can give it a go before you commit. They also put on a weekly run club on a Thursday at 6.15, and they run pre and post natal classes too, which we will happily point our pregnancy and postnatal clients towards. You can see everything they offer on their website, or find them on Instagram at @sculptswc.

Keeping you moving

Looking after the people who support us is part of who we are, and so is helping you stay strong long after your treatment finishes. If something is niggling and you want it sorted properly, or you are ready to build back stronger, we would love to help. You can book in with us online or take a look at our treatments across our Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon and Leamington Spa clinics.
